The Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of of health policy, health economics, behavioral economics, and/or health outcomes. Preference is for researcher(s) interested in developing and evaluating interventions in partnership with health care payers, providers, and systems. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, clinical fellows, undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing an innovative and independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations and industry.
The position will be based in the Health Policy Division within the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy. The Division has a broad array of faculty who do research in domestic and global health policy with a wide range of topic areas including health services, physician and patient behavior change, economics of aging, anti-poverty policy, HIV policy, food policy, and other areas. - Increase the Department’s instructional and research capacity in their area of focus;
