Base pay range
We are looking for an Assistant/Project Manager to join the team. This person will be responsible for supporting all day-to-day needs and assist with project management as needed. The ideal person will be extremely personable, highly trusted, a hands-on proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
Position will be based in Brooklyn but requires commute to NJ location 1-2 days per week.
Compensation: $60-75k
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist the team in overseeing all aspects of high-end interior construction projects from initiation to completion
- Coordinate with architects, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor project progress and update team regularly on milestones, timelines, and budgetary considerations
- Conduct site visits to inspect work quality, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and building codes
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports
- Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Foster positive relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Source, procure, and track materials, fixtures, and furnishings
- Collaborate with the project team to implement innovative solutions and value engineering initiatives to enhance project efficiency and profitability
- Manage all team and clients’ schedules
- Perform administrative and office support
- Four + years of experience required, understanding of high-end interior projects a plus
- Experience and aptitude for working in a fast paced, high-energy environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done, adaptable, and enjoys a challenge
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and exceeding client expectations
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes a big plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems; Working knowledge of Pipeline a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business
