Job Summary

Assistant Project Manager to support execution of tasks for the Innovation team.

Job Tasks Include

  • Generate program solicitation, contracting, and modification documents such as contracting memos, solicitation materials, and contracting packages
  • Provide support for Scoring Committee meetings (i.e., assist program staff in preparing for meetings, note taking during meetings, and award decision memoranda)
  • Initiate and Manage ad hoc contracts as required
  • Support the contracting process that takes place in Oracle People Soft and Salesforce
  • Track ongoing contracted project performance to deliverables and financial milestones
  • Manage contractor project execution including review of submitted project deliverables, milestones, and invoices
  • Ensure correct and complete project documentation including interim and final reports, completed project summaries, and contractor assessments
  • Perform data entry
  • Other duties as required to support the initiatives of the Innovation team

Required Skills Include

  • Bachelors degree required. Background, including formal training, in transportation, civil/mechanical/electrical engineering, or similar field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience of relevant project management experience
  • Proficient with the MS Office software suite; particularly skilled in Excel
  • Familiarity of basic project management tools (task and deliverable lists, budgets, charts, etc.)
  • Excellent technical writing and business correspondence skills
  • Background/experience with Oracle Peoplesoft, Salesforce, and Asana.
  • Experience in contract development/negotiations
  • Possess a firm understanding of project management procedures with a strong execution mindset
  • Must be diligent and detail-oriented, with the ability to track and communicate status on a large number of simultaneous projects
  • Ability to read contract language to manage deliverables, assist teams with various reports
  • Capable of performing data entry
  • Strong internal and external customer communication skills

Compensation

This is a full-time position as a Salas O’Brien employee working remotely. Benefits include a health insurance plan, a 401K profit sharing plan, and PTO. The position offers competitive compensation with an anticipated annual salary range of $60,000 to $75,000, based on candidate experience.
