Posting Summary
Rutgers University Law School seeks an Assistant Registrar on the Camden campus. As a vital member of the Academic Services Team, this position serves all internal and external constituents by implementing and executing critical administrative functions in support of the Law School Registrar's Office. This position develops cohesive policies, builds efficient processes, and maintains departmental documentation to ensure proper maintenance of academic records. Responsibilities include assisting the Law School Registrar with key departmental operations including but not limited to academic calendars, course scheduling, degree audits, exam administration, file creation, grade entry, graduation certification, registration updates, and status changes. The incumbent provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, and problem-solves in a manner consistent with FERPA regulations and the Law School's professional standards, allowing for the individual to maintain full operational capability in the Registrar's absence. While closely partnering with the Law School Registrar, this position facilitates technology and workflow improvements in response to the changing, emergent needs of the Law School's students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus two years of experience.
Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Registrar's Office in a Higher Education setting (i.e., student records and the student lifecycle: matriculation, registration, degree audit, grading and graduation) and with Student Information Systems is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to work within deadlines while exercising sound judgment, tact, and professionalism.
Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Requirements: sedentary work; grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Close visual acuity. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Special Conditions
This position will be based primarily in Camden but will require the incumbent to have a physical presence in both of our locations; the frequency will vary and be based on location and programmatic needs.
