Job Details

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Review and understand all project documents including, but not limited to, specifications, contracts, blueprints, and schedules.
• Utilize Bluebeam software for project management, including document management, collaboration, and markup.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of the construction process for multifamily/podium projects, from pre-construction to completion.
• Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to ensure quality control and overall project success.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing project reports and updates to keep management and stakeholders informed of the project's progress and any arising issues.
• Identify and resolve any potential problems, work interferences, or schedule difficulties, and facilitate amicable solutions to promote project objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry, specifically with multifamily/podium projects.
• Proficiency in using Bluebeam software for project management is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, and understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and personnel management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage construction teams effectively.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand construction documents, including blueprints, contracts, and schedules.
• Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Safety certification or training is a plus.
