As the Associate Director of Analytics at Single Grain, you will be responsible for leading our analytics initiatives, providing data-driven insights, and optimizing marketing strategies for our clients. You will play a crucial role in driving performance and building strong client relationships through effective data analysis and communication.

Requirements

You are someone who:

  • Has a proven track record in digital marketing analytics
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrates expertise in conversion tracking, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Has experience building advanced reports using various tools and platforms
  • Shows a keen ability to derive meaningful insights from data
  • Comfortable vetting and managing contractors as needed for support / overflow work
  • Constantly stays updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and new tools and techniques to enhance effectiveness
  • Actively seeks opportunities to improve processes and performance for both yourself and the team at large
  • Adapts quickly to changing circumstances demonstrating flexibility and an open attitude towards new approaches and strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Conversion Tracking: Conduct comprehensive audits, setup, implementation, and troubleshooting of conversion tracking across various platforms
  • Report Building: Create expert-level reports using Google Data Studio, Looker Studio, custom reporting tools, and other visualization platforms
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to uncover meaningful insights that drive client strategy and performance
  • Contractor Management: Vet and oversee contractors for overflow work, ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrate potential for people management, with the ability to lead and develop a team in the long term
  • Multi-channel Analytics: Oversee and integrate analytics across various digital marketing channels (e.g., SEO, PPC, social media, email) to provide a holistic view of campaign performance

Prior Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio
  • Experience connecting first-party data platforms to advertising platforms (i.e. Connecting Hubspot CRM data or SalesForce to Google Ads or Meta)
  • Experience in Looker Studio
  • Setting up, auditing and monitoring conversion tracking in ads platforms including but not limited to Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta Ads
  • Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices
  • Experience with cross-channel attribution modeling

Bonus if you have:

  • Familiarity with SQL, R, or Python for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience building custom reports in Tableau or other similar platforms
