Role

The Associate Director of Sales will play a pivotal role in building the Secondary Education sales function in the JoVE organization, overseeing the regional sales team responsible for revenue growth by targeting school districts.. This role requires a strategic leader with a track record of building high-performing sales teams, developing and executing sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets.


Responsibilities


  • Provide leadership and direction to the regional sales team, setting clear goals and expectations.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Mentor and manage a team of Sales Specialists, providing coaching and support to help them achieve their targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key secondary education stakeholders, including teachers, district administrators.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to align sales efforts with company goals.
  • Monitor key performance metrics for the sales team, regularly reviewing progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure the sales team has the knowledge and skills necessary to excel.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to inform product enhancements and improvements.


Requirements:


  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • 3+ years of direct experience managing a sales team
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles in the secondary education technology sector
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to close
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies
  • Data-driven decision-making mindset
