As the Associate Director of Training & Development, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive training programs for all employees, developing leadership skills within the company, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. You will also manage the knowledge management system and ensure our LMS is up-to-date and effective. Your collaborative efforts with HR and department heads will ensure that training initiatives are aligned with organizational objectives and support our mission of excellence.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a strategic plan that will enhance Mill Steel’s ability to offer a comprehensive curriculum and expand opportunities for learning and professional development for all employees.
  • Delivers in-person presentations and virtual trainings aligned with overall curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver leadership development programs.
  • Maintains the course curriculum by assessing current courses and performing needs analyses to identify new courses or training programs to be added. Conduct training needs assessments and gap analyses.
  • Maintain and manage a training calendar to ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and manage structured onboarding programs for our headquarter teams. Monitor and evaluate the onboarding process for continuous improvement.
  • Provide support and management of internship program in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Maintain and manage internal knowledge management system. Ensure the system is user-friendly and accessible to all employees.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives related to training and development.
  • Support training aspect of system implementations and process change initiatives, including ERP implantation and updates, business process enhancements and changes related to both headquarter and facility workflows, etc.
  • Engage stakeholders to support change and ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure training programs adapt to evolving business needs and strategies.
  • Keep the LMS updated with current training materials and course offerings.
  • Analyze LMS data to assess training program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the LMS.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams, including operations, HR, etc. to ensure alignment between commercial strategy, training, and overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and functional subject matter experts to tailor programs to specific needs.
  • Immerse in the ongoing development and improvement of training content. Stay current on industry trends, best practices in sales methodologies, and adult learning principles to ensure training programs are effective and engaging.
  • Partner with external vendors and consultants for specialized training.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in training and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of learning principles, instructional design, and knowledge management systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics products preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills to drive decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
