Description

The Associate Editor primarily provides support to the Editorial Team, particularly for newsletters. Duties include writing, editing, and updating content; tracking content performance and analyzing data; developing and monitoring tracking processes; research for future content; and other duties as assigned.

Secondarily, the Associate Editor also provides administrative support to the Editorial Team.

Education And Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field, plus at least 2-5 years working on a communications team. Must be proficient in or able to become proficient in APA Style. Preferable to have experience with newsletter and/or magazine content.

Responsibilities

  • Editing and writing responsibilities, such as writing newsletter copy, editing article content, and copyediting/proofreading.
  • Assist with processes to evaluate newsletters and other content.
  • Track content reach with regular data reports.
  • Help to research articles through literature searches and outreach to psychologists.
  • Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, processing invoices, and general admin.
  • Other duties as assigned.
