Associate Researcher

• Work under Study Directors for regulatory protein safety studies including but not limited to characterization and quantification of proteins in biotech products
• Support team of researchers generating protein biochemistry data in biotech products
• Provide protein analytical support through a team of researchers to other functional groups in seeds regulatory science
• Generate and present data to researchers in scientific format and templates
• General lab maintenance, upkeeping inventory, preparation of routine reagents
• Record keeping of inventory and research materials
• Follow quality management systems, GLP programs, and auditing teams to maintain compliance of protocols and reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related scientific fields
• Proven lab skills and experience in designing and performing experiments: proven skills in protein biochemistry and characterization techniques, e.g. Western Blotting and immunoassays
• Some plant protein purification skills and experience would be beneficial
• Creative thinking and ability to work both independently and in team environments is critical.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, while meeting critical deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally by phone, email, and in-person with internal employees.
• Excellent organizational skills and record keeping ability.
