Be a part of the most creative and talented visual merchandising team in Austin. Four Hands is hiring an associate visual merchandiser who will be responsible for styling and assistant-styling product in Four Hands showrooms, facilities, and events. As a part of the Creative Services team within Sales and Marketing, you'll position Four Hands pieces in beautiful, inspiring environments with a focus on highlighting features and benefits, and providing scale and context for our customers (and theirs).

In This Role

• Work under the guidance of visual merchandisers and project/production managers to assist in the styling and arrangement of products in industry trade showrooms
• Participate in 10-day market set-ups, ensuring all elements are prepared and styled to meet high standards
• Travel at least 8 times a year for planning pre-trips and 10-day market set-ups
• Organize, clean, and maintain props and showroom spaces to ensure they are presentable and functional
• Manage relationship with plant vendors to ensure delivery, and pick up
• Run errands outside the showrooms including buying food props, sourcing design materials, and styling tools
• Prepare soft goods (e.g., textiles, linens) for display using steamers or irons to ensure they are wrinkle-free and presentable
• Collaborate with the production team to select appropriate furniture and accessories that complement the overall styling

The Ideal Person

• 1+ year of experience in retail preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree in fine art, interior design, or equivalent creative experience
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including email, spreadsheets, and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Figma)
• Strong understanding of artistic composition, including visual balance and contrast
• Ability to source and curate design inspiration aligning with art direction.
• Basic knowledge of interior and set design principles
• Capability to plan and execute creative concepts per direction
• Physical ability to work on foot for up to 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, in a dynamic studio environment
• Valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle
