Signature Theatre, one of New York's leading off-Broadway theatres, is seeking an AUDIO AND VIDEO SUPERVISOR for The Pershing Square Signature Center on West 42nd Street.
About Signature
Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home, producing six to eight productions annually. In 2005 Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all of its productions. In 2012, Signature opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a central, public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices.

Position Summary
The Audio and Video Supervisor is a full-time position and reports to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Participate in the creation of sound and video budgets. In conjunction with the production manager.
Maintain and track sound and video budgets
Work with designers to assemble detailed bid packages for additional equipment and mediate bids with a keen eye towards fiscal responsibility
Attend all design presentations, meetings, rehearsals, and run-throughs as designated by the Production Manager
Provide supervision for all load-in and work calls during the production process
Coordinate technical and personnel needs for supplemental programs and opening nights
Hire, coordinate and supervise all AV over hire personnel for load-in, run of show and strike, and for works calls as needed
Pershing Square Signature Center
Oversee and enforce safety protocols throughout the planning and execution stages for all theatrical work at the Pershing Square Signature Center
Identify and propose upgrades for all AV systems
Maintain lobby and rehearsal studio sound systems
Maintain Audio and Video program feeds
Assist Director of Production in long term facilities and production projects as needed
Work with Front of House to maintain Assisted Listening Device (ALD) system
Work with the Venue Operations Manager to evaluate and advise on the feasibility of designs for rentals in theatres and other areas of the Center, with particular focus on safety
Hire, coordinate and supervise all AV over hire personnel to support rentals and work at the Center as needed
Collaborate with other departments on events such as the Gala
Train, oversee and enforce safety protocols throughout the planning and execution stages for all theatrical sound and video work at the Perishing Square Signature Center
Desired Skills

Desired Experience
Two or more years as an AV Supervisor in theatre or in a related AV position with equivalent experience
Experience with managing deadlines for multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
Compensation
This is a full-time salaried exempt position with an annual salary of $65,000 up to $70,000.
