Audio Technician (A2)

ONE | A Potter's House Church is currently seeking a dedicated Audio Technician (A2) to support our production team in delivering high-quality audio for Sunday services and various church events. This role is essential in ensuring the clarity and excellence of our in-person and online audio experiences. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in audio setup, mixing, and troubleshooting, with a keen ear for detail and a passion for creating immersive soundscapes for worship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down audio equipment for Sunday services and special events, ensuring timely and efficient setups.
  • Support the Audio & Lighting Technician/Lead in mixing and mastering audio for live events and online broadcasts, maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Manage microphone setups, monitor mixes, and live sound reinforcement under the direction of the lead technician.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve audio issues promptly, minimizing disruptions to services and events.
  • Participate in regular maintenance and inventory management of audio equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with volunteers in the audio department, providing training and support to enhance their technical skills and involvement in production tasks.
  • Work closely with the production team to coordinate audio needs with other aspects of event production, ensuring a cohesive and impactful worship experience.
  • Take the lead in mixing and mastering podcasts from services, preparing them for immediate upload to ensure timely access for our online community.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Proven experience in live sound engineering and audio mixing/mastering, with a portfolio that includes work on podcasts or similar projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with Allen & Heath Avantis mixing consoles (64 channels), Dante Audio Networking, and Logic Pro for audio mastering and mixing.
  • Proficiency in using digital audio workstations (DAWs) and audio processing tools.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality audio content.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills, with a readiness to support and guide volunteers.

  • Flexible availability, including Sundays and additional events, to meet the demands of service schedules and podcast production timelines.
