TEKsystems is looking to add an experienced AV installer with commercial experience to increase the bandwidth of the their current team. Normal work day will typically be 8am-4pm. Current projects that this person will be impacting will consist of but not limited to; paging systems/TV installs within schools, office space conference room set ups, sound bars and TV installs at apartment complexes. Programming experience is highly sought after but not required for this position. Technicians will typically drive directly to the job site. Must have their own tools.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with AV systems and be able to effectively communicate technical concepts
An AV Technician must excel in customer service skills and be capable of effective communication with clients, management and fellow employees
3+ years’ experience as an Audio Video Installer or Low Voltage Installer working on residential and/or commercial projects
Proper use of hand/power tools, ladders, and other site safety equipment
Ability to lift/maneuver up to 70lbs and physical ability to frequently: bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time and be comfortable working at heights of 3-25 ft
Strong time management and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of audio-video systems and practical field experience
Strong understanding of low voltage systems and practical field experience
Familiar with all NFPA, NEC and OSHA codes and standards
Clean cut appearance
High school graduate (minimum) plus substantial related experience
Must be able to have a valid license, clean driving record, and pass drug screening
Self motivated, must be someone that will come in and work hard, do what it takes to get the job done, and be a self starter. If they don't know how to do it take initiative and figure it out.
