POSITION PURPOSE:

The Private Wealth Group, RIA/FO Channel is seeking an Associate Vice President to support CIM’s fundraising campaigns across its platform of real estate, infrastructure and debt offerings at large RIA firms, RIA aggregators and family office within the northeast region. This position is in CIM’s New York office and will report to the National Sales Manager of the RIA/FO Channel.  An ideal candidate should have relevant internal/external wholesaling experience.  Experience working with large RIA firms and Family Offices in alternative investments is preferred.  A candidate with the CAIA, CFA or other industry designation is also preferred.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for articulating CIM's investment strategy, platforms, competitive advantages, performance, and for explaining in detail CIM's various investments to both existing and potential investors and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with an assigned list of current and prospective firms and be the primary point of contact for this assigned list of accounts providing and maintaining regular communication and client service through both virtual & in‐person meetings with the goal of making a significant contribution to the achievement of CIM’s product sales objectives
  • Schedule and host frequent virtual and face-to-face meetings in order enhance relationships and fundraising objectives
  • Learn to manage a territory effectively through goalsetting, strategic business planning, time blocking, pipeline and activity reporting
  • Hone one’s presentation skills, interviewing, industry knowledge and messaging in an effort enhance the experience for RIA advisors and their client’s
  • Serve as a secondary coverage contact alongside the national sales manager for an assigned list of firms, which includes largest national RIA aggregators and family office relationships
  • Collaborate and mentor peers in the internal wholesaler level of the RIA/FO channel as they support the fundraising efforts
  • Attend & participate at sponsored industry events
  • Respond to, and manage content associated with, programmatic and ad‐hoc prospective investor information requests, such as RFPs, DDQs and RFIs
  • Assist with post meeting communication and other marketing efforts


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field required, MBA preferred
  • Series 7 & 63 Licenses required
  • CAIA, CFA or other industry designations preferred
  • Experience in alternative investments preferred
  • Experience and relationships with large RIA firms and family offices preferred
  • Between 5 and10 years’ experience in internal/external wholesaling experience
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with Sales Force or similar software a plus
