PennEngineering is seeking a motivated, excited, individual to be a part of PennEngineering’s Corporate Human Resources Team. As the Manager, Total Rewards at PennEngineering, you’ll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things. The Manager, Total Rewards will be responsible for managing all aspects of employee health, welfare, and retirement plans. The Manager, Total Rewards will be responsible for plan design, benefits administration, communications strategy, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations to attract and retain top talent.

What You Will Do

  • Designs, recommends, and implements new benefits policies and programs to ensure PennEngineering companies are competitive and where possible differentiated in the North American market. This requires examining possible plan designs, managing Company risk, ensuring compliance, and calculating the impact to the business.
  • Proactively stays abreast of North America market practices, trends and requirements to ensure benefit offerings remain market competitive, financially sound, and legally compliant.
  • Serves as primary contact for broker, plan vendors and third-party administrators for billing, plan design and open enrollment set up.
  • Leads the annual Open Enrollment process which includes the communication plan (including employee meetings), updated plan documents, compliance and updating HRIS with new rates.
  • Administers the 401k Plan which includes the payroll funding and reconciliation of employee deferrals and Company matching contributions and quarterly reporting by business unit.
  • Responsible for authorizing all benefit coverage invoicing and self-bill preparation.
  • Administers and reconciles the payroll funding of the health and flexible savings accounts.
  • Oversees the Annual Retirement Plan Audit (401k and Pension Plans).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Ensures the preparation and filing of all Form 5500’s for the Welfare and Deferred Benefit Plans is completed annually on-time.
  • Completes the Affordable Care Act (ACA) annual filings through the ADP module which results in creating 1095-C and 1095-B forms.
  • Administers the Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Plan
  • Collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners and Internal Communication Manager for communication tools to enhance team members’ understanding of the value of the benefits offered, announce any and changes and meet disclosure requirements.
  • Assists in due diligence activities for all Company Acquisitions in North America.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business-related field
  • 7 – 10 years of benefits management experience
  • Professional certification such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) is desirable but not required.
