The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect is a remote position, responsible for designing and implementing data modeling, BI, and analytics solutions. As the BI Architect, you will collaborate with an ETL Architect and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Data and Analytics Team. The role involves end to end BI Architecture, along with designing dashboards with Astrato.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Seven (7) years of experience in various BI and analytic reporting software applications, with a preference for EPIC, SQL, and Crystal Report Writing
Strong proficiency in either Qlik Sense or PowerBI is a must!
Relevant certifications such as Qlik Sense Data Architect Certification or other architecture certifications.
Epic Revenue or Clinical Data Model or Cogito Project Manager Certificate (must be obtained within 6 months of hire) or equivalent experience.
Experience working in a hospital setting a huge plus!
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in database development and management tasks, including creating indexes, functions, stored procedures, and configuring permissions.
Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, enterprise data management, and modeling techniques
Proficient in designing, building, testing, and tuning ETL and reporting applications, including automation of recurring imports using Microsoft SQL
Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions, including dashboards, using Qlik Sense, or PowerBI, and Astrato.
Collaborate with operational teams and leadership to analyze business data and transform requirements into analytics solutions.
Mentor and train team members on BI concepts and strategies
Create and maintain reports summarizing clinical, financial, or operational data using various BI tools.
Maintain a service-oriented approach with customers, providing timely support and ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
Work with IT leaders and operations to identify data from other source systems and enhance data sets.
Promote and utilize the report request and development process, ensuring quality, timeliness, and accountability.
Facilitate the development and implementation of a self-service reporting program across the organization.
Assist with upgrades, updates, or enhancements associated with BI tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to databases, applications, and development tools.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new methods, tools, and technologies for data and analytics infrastructure.
Collaborate with end-users to identify and address data and reporting discrepancies.
Prepare and maintain key documents and technical specifications for new and existing solutions.
Provide solution design, perform reviews, and participate in strategic discussions.
Monitor incident management queue, efficiently resolving active issues.
Work on additional assignments as delegated by management.
