Assists the Biomedical Engineering department at West Virginia United Health System (WVUHS) with a variety of tasks to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the patients and staff. Assists the Biomedical Engineering teams on a day-to-day basis performing basic Biomedical Engineering tasks.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1.High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE:
1.Two (2) years’ experience in equipment/parts inventory systems and software or equipment/parts ordering

1.Experience in electronic and computer related work.

1.Receives parts orders, logs information, and distributes.
2.Creates and deletes new equipment in CMMS and updates inventories.
3.Runs CMMS reports and creates custom reports.
4.Performs QA on work orders of technicians.
5.May assign work orders when Lead Tech needs assistance or is away.
6.Assists the technicians by performing tasks such as holding, lifting, and/or moving of equipment, tools or materials.
7.Demonstrate a basic knowledge of storeroom inventory and inventory control procedure.
8.Performs basic equipment maintenance tasks and trouble calls.
9.Assist Biomedical Engineering technicians with routine and preventive maintenance work orders on building systems and equipment.  May independently do basic PMs and repairs.
10.Occasionally acts as a relief for technicians during manpower shortages and excessive preventive maintenance periods.
11.Maintains documentation of services provided through completion of time sheets, time cards, work orders, inventory sign-out sheets, quick calls, and all regulatory compliance forms.
12.Answers phone calls and routes or completes follow up.
13.May provide assistance with budget process, credit card purchases, and purchase orders.
