Job Title: Biologist - Analytical Development

Location: New York, NY 10016

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Biologist to join our analytical development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cell culture and aseptic techniques, with a preference for those proficient in ddPCR, ELISA/MSD, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry assay development. This role involves routine testing, lab maintenance, and the establishment of new methods for characterizing AAV in novel targets for neurodegenerative disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and release analytical testing using ddPCR, ELISA/MSD, and setting up cell-based potency assays and flow cytometry assays.
  • Maintain lab operations including aliquoting and cell culture maintenance.
  • Generate and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.
  • Author Certificates of Testing (CoT).
  • Coordinate efforts and interact with other departments to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 months of relevant experience, which can include academic, industry internships, or co-ops.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in cell culture and aseptic technique. Preferred experience with ddPCR, ELISA/MSD, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry assay development.
  • Analytical Development: Previous experience with analytical instruments and familiarity with the fundamentals of ICH and other industry guidelines supporting method development and qualification is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to adapt and learn, think critically, and work effectively in a team environment.
