Overview:

The Go for Yours Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 2017, seeks dynamic and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. We are looking for a diverse group of professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of underserved youth.

About the Go for Yours Foundation:

Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, the Go for Yours Foundation is a nonprofit organization that equips underserved youth (ages 16-21) with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to take control of their futures. Our mission is to break down the barriers our next generation faces, providing the mentorship, resources, and programs they need to overcome challenges, unlock their potential, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Our flagship program, the Dream Experience, is a transformative one-week summer leadership development fellowship that empowers young individuals to become future leaders, entrepreneurs, and community champions. This life-changing opportunity, which includes mentorship, workshops, job shadowing, and other immersive experiences, is fully funded and has the power to inspire hope and transform lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and governance to ensure the success of the Foundation’s mission and programs.
• Serve as an advocate and ambassador for the Go for Yours Foundation in your community and professional network.
• Leverage your professional connections and experience to assist in fundraising, sponsorship development, and partnership-building efforts.
• Participate in quarterly board meetings and committee work to guide the Foundation’s initiatives and strategic priorities, which include expanding our reach, enhancing our programs, and securing sustainable funding.
• Offer insights and expertise to enhance the Foundation’s impact, with a focus on growing and scaling our flagship Dream Experience program.
• Support ongoing organizational growth by contributing to discussions around vision, strategy, and long-term goals.

Qualifications:

Your strong network of professional connections in corporate, philanthropic, or community spaces is invaluable to us. We value your willingness to leverage those relationships to advance the Foundation’s goals, making you feel integral to our success.

• Passion for empowering underserved youth and a commitment to the Go for Yours Foundation’s mission.
• Proven leadership experience, preferably in corporate, entrepreneurial, philanthropic, or nonprofit environments.
• Previous experience serving on a nonprofit board (preferred).
• Experience with fundraising, development, or strategic planning for nonprofits is a plus.
• Ability to commit to quarterly meetings and actively participate in board-related activities.]
