**Job Description**
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Speaker Booking Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an interest or experience in the speaking industry; a deep respect for the process of learning; good ethics; a kind heart; and a proven track record selling professional services, or even booking talent.
**Responsibilities**
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for our clients to get them paid speaking engagements – live or virtual – nationwide. Leads will be generated with, for, and by you - all three methods.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with event organizers, meeting planners, and other industry professionals.
- Negotiate terms and contracts for speaking engagements with the support and direction of our senior agent.
- Collaborate with the speakers to help them achieve their goals and be able to match their goals and expertise with the needs of the organizations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and spot emerging opportunities.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in sales, ideally selling services.
-Software savvy – we will train you on PipeDrive, our CRM.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
-Nimble mind - you have a strong ability to “think on your feet” – pitching speakers often requires you to make connections quickly that you may not have pre-planned.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthy, happy team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms is a plus, especially LinkedIn.
