Job Title: Bookkeeper/Accountant

Duration: direct hire

Pay: $90-100K

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Financial Reporting: Manage and maintain accurate and timely P&L statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general company strategy.
• Customer and Employee Interaction: Communicate with customers regarding billing and accounts and collaborate with employees to ensure financial practices align with company goals.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a preference for those with experience in the construction or reconstruction industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with customers and employees alike and will have the ability to work collaboratively within a growing team.
