American Products, Inc. (API) is a local manufacturer serving the construction, retail and restaurant industries, specializing in architectural metal products such as storefronts, doors, canopies, sunshades, acm panel systems, brake metal and handrail from our facilities in Oldsmar, Fl. Our customers include some of the largest national chains in the country such as Chipotle, Outback, PDQ, Gap, Ann Taylor, Lids, Forever 21, etc. as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US. Location: Oldsmar / Westchase / Citrus Park area of West Tampa

We are hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper.

Responsibilities for our Bookkeeper

• Responsible for full cycle accounting duties of a mid-size construction and manufacturing company
• Process and enter accounts payable and code and enter vendor expense invoices
• Process accounts receivable and invoice clients and customers and collect funds as needed
• Prepare bank deposits and balance bank accounts
• Ensure accuracy in general ledger
• Prepare monthly sales tax
• Handle other aspects of accounting as needed, such as job costing, financial reporting, forecasting, billings, payroll and more
• Will work closely with the accounting and operations team on various projects
• Process progress billings / AIA
• Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications for our Bookkeeper

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting and or bookkeeping role
• Very strong computer skills required
• Excellent excel skills a must
• Very organized and very detail oriented and must be comfortable meeting tight deadlines
• Sage 50 or Sage 100 a plus but not required
• Construction and or manufacturing experience a plus.
• Prior AR / AP experience required
