Advanced Systems, Inc. of Suncoast is one of Tampa Bay’s Premier Flooring Vendors, have been servicing the Residential and Commercial construction industry with all their flooring needs since 1990. Advanced Systems services the greater Tampa Bay and Sarasota/Bradenton Areas. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the executive management team while interacting with team members at all levels. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing and supporting day-to-day financial tasks of the office, including processing accounts receivable, accounts payable and maintenance of chart of accounts. This position is an office-based position in Tampa, FL.

Advanced Systems services the greater Tampa Bay and Sarasota/Bradenton Areas. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the executive management team while interacting with team members at all levels. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing and supporting day-to-day financial tasks of the office, including processing accounts receivable, accounts payable and maintenance of chart of accounts. This position is an office-based position in Tampa, FL.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Timely and accurately record financial transactions in accounting software.
- Processing A/R and A/P.
- Prepare checks, payments and bank deposits.
- Assist in monthly analysis, reconciliations and resolutions for GL accounts such as:
- Accounts receivable
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Accounts payable
- Other liabilities (credit cards, charge accounts) and related expenses.
- Inter-company transactions
- Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Submit and track invoices and change order requests.
- Payroll entry and processing.
- Perform various administrative functions including typing, filing, answering phones, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
- Provide administrative assistance to President and Vice-President.
- Operate the computer as needed for email, general reports and record keeping.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Management.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Platform (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Must be able to compose and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
- Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines, high level of organization required.
- Produce and maintain paperwork or logs as required.
- Need to possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Always Display a cooperative attitude.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Interact with all levels of internal team members and external customers in a professional and supportive manner.
- Must pass drug screening and background check and maintain drug free status.
- Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Construction Accounting Experience
- Fluent in Spanish
- Microsoft ACCESS
- Compensation negotiable based on level of experience.
