Organizational Description:

dpHUE is a premium at-home color and color care brand distributed at ULTA Beauty, Amazon, dpHUE.com and other online retailers. Our products empower consumers to achieve and maintain salon quality color at home between color applications.  We want to help our community build confidence in HUE! 


Position Purpose:

The Brand Manager reports to the Vice President of Innovation, Marketing and Consumer Engagement. This role executes the full life cycle of a product from innovation and development through omnichannel go-to-market strategies, ensuring that all timely product launches and marketing campaigns align with the brand’s DNA and business objectives. This position is located in Playa Vista / Culver City area and will be required to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.


Key Accountabilities:


Product Development: Manage all aspects of product development from concept to market, including vendor management, product submissions, testing, artwork, and reformulations.

  • Collaborate with CEO and VP of Marketing on concept creation and innovation strategy 
  • Craft claims and conduct testing/surveys for new and existing products 
  • Manage new formula and reformulation projects with Operations team, external labs and manufacturers and bring on new vendors when needed
  • Work with Regulatory and Legal to update artwork for compliance and international registration
  • Manage artwork process for new and existing items for on-time launch and collaborate on new product concept imagery for presentations


Omnichannel Marketing: Develop and implement comprehensive omnichannel retail marketing strategies that integrate all marketing channels to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales for key brick & mortar and online retailers. 

  • Manage and lead the brand calendar process
  • Develop and execute in-store and online product launch and marketing campaigns, assets, emails, promotional programs, and retailer-specific events, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and maximizing engagement and ROI.
  • Analyze and optimize the customer journey across all touchpoints, ensuring a seamless and cohesive experience from initial contact through to purchase and post-purchase engagement.


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that product development and marketing campaigns are executed on time and within budget.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Independence & Initiative: Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and drive them to completion without constant supervision
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, creative, social and influencer team members to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels.  Team oriented with a can-do attitude.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data, analytics, and customer insights to inform product development and marketing strategies, measure ROI and performance, and drive continuous improvement
  • Industry Trends: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences, and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional execution and follow-through to ensure accuracy and consistency 
  • Prior product development and retail marketing experience required


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • 4+ years of combined marketing and product development experience in beauty or consumer package goods industry required


Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid position where the employee will work from a Los Angeles-based office (Playa Vista or Culver City area) at a minimum of 3 days per week.
