This is a full-time position, ideally located in the Denver/Boulder Metro area.
Wild Planet Foods is looking for a strategic and results-driven Marketing Director to lead the development of our brand strategy and communications. This is a pivotal role in shaping and promoting Wild Planet’s brand identity and messaging, helping to strengthen our presence in the marketplace.
As the Marketing Director, you will own the brand strategy, oversee communication efforts, and manage relationships with several marketing agencies. In addition, you will lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals. Your expertise in business analytics and brand development will be critical to driving growth, optimizing performance, and driving the mission of Wild Planet Foods.
- Develop and execute the overall brand strategy, ensuring it aligns with Wild Planet's mission, values, and business goals. Maintain a strong and consistent brand presence across all channels.
- Lead the creation and implementation of brand messaging for product launches, marketing campaigns, and corporate communications, ensuring consistent and engaging brand storytelling.
- Oversee relationships with external PR, social media, and creative agencies, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure alignment with brand objectives and the delivery of high-quality work.
- Lead business analytics efforts to identify growth opportunities, assess marketing performance, and mitigate risks. Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and improve marketing effectiveness.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a marketing team, optimizing their skills and capabilities. Create an environment that encourages growth and learning, offering opportunities for the team to develop individual skills and advance in their careers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth. Ensure that all content and materials are compelling and aligned with brand strategy.
- Lead innovation strategy and execution, driven by consumer insight and brand strategy.
- Stay current with industry trends, consumer behaviors, and market dynamics. Leverage market research and competitive analysis to ensure our brand strategy is effective and relevant.
- Work closely with other departments such as Product Development, Sales, and Operations to ensure cohesive and successful execution of brand initiatives that align with company-wide goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a brand strategy role.
- Strong experience in developing and executing successful brand strategies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage external agencies (PR, social media, creative).
- Experience in business analytics, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Familiar with IRI, SPINS/Satori, Nielson, Power BI, TPM, PowerPoint, & Excel.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically while being hands-on with execution.
- Experience in conventional and natural CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry is a plus.
- Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000 depending on previous experience
- Performance-based bonus with historical track record of payout
