We are currently hiring a Brewing Operator in Cincinnati, OH.
The Brewing Operator reports to the Brewing Manager and is responsible for monitoring and carrying out brew house, fermenting, filtration, blending processes and operations. Candidates must be a self-starter willing to accept “operational responsibility” as well as willing to work any shift including weekends.
What You'll Brew:
Must be able to work with a team-oriented, “Safety First” approach. Safely, efficiently, and effectively work to attain department and brewery objectives.
Safely and efficiently operate equipment/machinery as assigned to meet department/brewery goals.
Must be receptive to working in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships with others.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and make recommendations to the process.
Monitoring and directly managing the Brew house, Fermenting, Filtration and Blending processes and operations. Involves recording, troubleshooting, temperature and flow monitoring, communication, supplying lines with material or product, line cleaning, sanitation, and foaming.
Unloading of material for Brewing and Blending processing which may include rail cars, trucks, totes, drums, pallets, etc.
Communicate with coworkers by phone and radio. Must carry radio as required.
Operate forklifts in a safe and effective manner, as required.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception Working Conditions
There is frequent exposure production environments:
Subject to loud and constant noise
Non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold
Work overtime as needed which may require 12-hour days, weekends, and holidays completed

Minimum Qualifications:
Understanding and knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and systems
Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
Proficient with Computer systems including MS Outlook. Must be able to learn and accurately utilize brewery operation system.
Must be available to support shift (8 or 12 hour), weekend and holiday schedules as required.
All production roles are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s)
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
Ability to endure on a daily basis, excessive walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, lifting (excess of 60lbs), twisting, climbing, reaching

In accordance with pay transparency laws and Company policy, please be aware that the pay rate for this role, if hired, is determined by the collective bargaining agreement with the applicable Union. As of the time of posting, pay for this position starts at $16.00 per hour. Consistent with the collective bargaining agreement, pay rate will increase incrementally thereafter based on seniority.
