Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Broker Assistant to support their team of brokers. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who is looking to pivot their career into a new industry. As a Broker Assistant, you will utilize your analytical skills and financial acumen to assist with the management of client accounts and the coordination of insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist brokers in the preparation and processing of insurance applications, renewals, and endorsements
• Manage client documentation and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date
• Conduct policy reviews and prepare reports for brokers and clients
• Coordinate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes and policy information
• Support brokers in client meetings and communications, providing detailed information and assistance as needed
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding client issues and renewals
• Perform financial analysis and reconciliations related to client accounts
• Maintain and update client management systems with accurate data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in learning and understanding the insurance industry
