Job Description

A Digital & Technology Business Analyst at MasterBrand Cabinets is responsible for solution delivery as it relates to Manufacturing Operations Data Analytics at MasterBrand Cabinets facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple functional areas and levels to understand business needs on the manufacturing shop floor and convert business needs into solutions using the MasterBrand Data Visualization toolsets. Duties include acting as a business partner with the manufacturing teams and Digital & Technology support resources, implementing data visualization solutions, working with continuous improvement teams, and ensuring solutions are meeting stakeholder needs while in compliance with corporate guidelines and requirements.

This is a remote-based position with a preferred location near one of our offices or facilities. The selected candidate for the position must be based in the United States.

Organizational Relationship:

This position will report to the Digital & Technology Manager- Business Analysis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the software applications that make up the MasterBrand Manufacturing data visualization toolsets and use those toolsets to solve manufacturing problems by embedding data into daily processes.
  • Understand complex and diverse data landscape and turn into actionable business insights
  • Gather requirements for data visualization, deliver solutions, and drive changes management for adoption of solutions
  • Continuously challenge past practices by actively exposes data in a meaningful way to improve the quality and time to market.
  • Supports the execution of manufacturing automation projects with data visualization to advance the companies capabilities in manufacturing execution, operational control, data collection, and reporting,
  • Provide production support for the software applications that make up the Manufacturing data visualization toolsets
  • Act as a liaison between manufacturing operations, continuous improvement teams, and Digital & Technology
  • The expectation is that the position regularly spends time on a shop floor.
  • Participates in testing and data validation activities to ensure that the solution meets the business requirements
  • Train users to operate new or modified software applications.
  • Extremely proficient at written documentation, especially for requirements, design, implementation, and operational procedure documentation
  • In written and presentation forms, should be able to clearly and effectively outlines issues, opportunities, and options

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • BS degree in Data Analytics, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or in other STEM majors
  • 1 – 3 years of experience working with manufacturing information systems & data visualization
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform preferred.
  • Previous experience working with manufacturing data visualization a plus
  • Lean certification or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus
  • Exposure to emerging technologies (e.g., Power BI, Power App, IoT, Cloud, etc.) and the application of these in the Manufacturing areas are a plus
  • Detailed understanding of troubleshooting and data validation methodology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work and effectively influence in a cross-functional organization without direct positional authority.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
