About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic product team at Second Nature. This is a 1099 contractor role with an expected contract period of 4 months.

This role is crucial in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment, working closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic product decisions.


Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with product managers to define business and technical requirements, gathering and analyzing data to enable informed product development decisions.
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes within the product team to identify improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain detailed business analysis documentation, including workflows, process diagrams, user stories, and requirement specifications.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on product goals and objectives, acting as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams.
• Perform market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and feature prioritization.
• Assist in sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions.
• Assist in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback on product functionality.


Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within a technology or product-focused company.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Preferred Qualifications:
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to understand systems and API documentation.
• Experience with business process modeling techniques and tools (e.g., BPMN, UML).
• Familiarity with product management concepts and methodologies.
• Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and practices.
• Experience in the property management industry
• Available to work EST hours
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Passion for technology and product development.
