Description
Do you enjoy solving complex business problems, transforming data into information, and using that information to influence business decisions? Do you have a desire to make a major contribution to the uncover data and insights for Paragon Case Management Team impacting Sellers and Buyers of Amazon. In this position, the individual will have significant input on improving the key business metrics and defining the various solutions to business problems.
As a member of our team, you'll use Scrum to manage your day-to-day workload and will talk with team members around the world on a daily basis. You'll build sustainable, scalable and automated reports that help the organization act on information rather than just data. You will work closely with operations leaders, product managers, SDEs, TPMs, data engineers, and senior management to define new metrics and project requirements which you will then take and create something bigger and better together!
In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also manage and execute analytical projects from start to finish including data gathering, manipulation, modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations to senior management.

The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. As a highly analytical candidate, the team is looking to optimize your:
- Ability to look at things in a holistic way.
- Decision making skills (based on realism and sound processes with an underpinning of precision, accuracy, and detail).
- Researching capabilities or “walking dictionary” tendencies.
- Orientation to lean towards creating mechanism by analyzing gaps
- Organization and deep knowledge inputs.
- Own the design, development, maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
- Writing high quality SQL codes to retrieve and analyze data and experience working with large data sets through automated data extraction and dashboards
- Propose, define and align leaders on the right metrics to track business performance and own end-to-end production of these metrics.
- Develop clear communications for recommended actions both verbally and in writing.
- Establish causal analysis on program launches and its impact on the business.
- Identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
- 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with SQL or ETL
- The ability to break down complex problems, gather data, and provide meaningful insights.
- Experience with ad-hoc data pulls and dash boarding via SQL or scripting.
- Collecting, documenting, and validating requirements from stakeholders.
- Making reports with Excel and creating basic macros
- Knowledge of Statistical and visualization techniques
- Data Analysis to identify trends and patterns.
- Understanding project management methodologies and principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication to convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
- Experience using very large datasets
