Job Description

This position will give you experience working with a variety of projects, both analytics and business oriented. The role will work in a true global environment, where what you do will make a difference for people doing family history and for their ancestors. This position can either be fully remote or located in our office in the greater Salt Lake City area.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an upbeat and hard-working individual who loves culturally significant work and is interested in data-driven decision-making. This role lies at the intersection of data analysis and business processes. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze business data to identify trends, relationships, and opportunities for action
  • Create data visualizations (reports, dashboards, etc.) to monitor key performance indicators
  • Collaborate with Fraud Prevention Manager and other business stakeholders to devise, test, and implement new data-driven fraud detection methods.
  • Assist in day-to-day fraud prevention activities and investigations.

Qualifications

  • Recently completed Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field (degree must have been earned within the past year).
  • Proficiency with MS Office Excel
  • Proficiency with Python for data manpulation (e.g. pandas, numpy), analysis, and/or modeling.
  • Solid understanding of foundational statistics
  • Adept at basic exploratory data analysis and data visualization
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of family history.
  • Comfortable in an evolving, fast-paced environment
