Expert

  • A Degree in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of six (6) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
  • A Diploma in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of seven (7) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
  • A Certificate in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of eight (8) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
  • An absolute minimum of ten (10) years of directly related Consulting Category experience.

A Business Architect is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Performing Current State Assessment and Architecture Gap Analysis.
  • Enhancing and validating proposed conceptual architecture reference model.
  • Developing vision and future state Business Architecture(s).
  • Creating an approach and roadmap to transition from current state architecture to planned future state architecture(s).
  • Assessing, documenting and communicating benefits, impacts, risks and organizational implications of future state Business Architecture model(s) (e.g. workflows, policies, HR impacts etc.).
  • Developing appropriate models, journey maps and other artefacts to support effective communication with all interested parties.
  • Participating in pre-set and ad hoc meetings to support timely provision of information related to design decisions, progress, status, issues, risks, and solutions related to project deliverables.
  • Leading meetings/facilitating workshops with subject matter experts with the goal of developing and validating current state and target architectures.
  • Collaborating with cross-function and multi-disciplinary teams across multiple organizations to complete assigned tasks and deliverables.

Specific Qualifications Or Experience Required

  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a degree in clinical informatics, health information science, data science, and/or computer science including training and/or experience in designing business architecture in health technology domain.
  • Previous experience working at senior levels in either health care (Health Authority or equivalent) or general public sector (large Ministry) in BC or a Canadian province.
  • Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment is a must
  • Strong forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in layman’s terms to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse groups
  • Proven success in architecting integrated business architectures from business, conceptual, logical and physical levels
  • Able to work expeditiously as an individual contributor and as a team member
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge on and experience with agile as well as waterfall project management concepts, practices, and deliverables
  • Exceptional MS Office skills

Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience with the following additional skillsets: project management, organizational change management, program management, strategy development.
