Business Controller

Business Unit Controller | Saint Marys, PA

• Base Pay: 200K + BONUS (15-20%) + Equity (Company is up 85% in the past 5 years!)
• Key things to note:
• Must have a ton of P&L/Cost Accounting experience!!!!
• Open to relocation 100% | 5 days a week in office

Main Duties:

· Supervise, organize, and coordinate all financial dimensions of the business, including Financial Accounting, Inventory, Costing, Tax, Payroll, Payables, Receivables, Treasury, Statutory Reporting, and Management Reporting

· Oversee the monthly accounting close process and generate consolidated financial results for the business unit, supporting corporate financial reporting requirements.

· Analyze Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets for manufacturing sites, aiding factory management teams in achieving their financial goals.

· Ensure the integrity of the company’s global inventory and analyze related costs of goods sold in compliance with US-GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

· Forecast and budget direct material, labor, and overhead costs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Manage and direct subordinates, developing an efficient finance team with the appropriate skills and competencies.

· Maintain a reliable internal accounting control system ensuring the integrity of all financial data, compliant with corporate objectives and government standards such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

· Establish and administer the company's annual operating budget in alignment with the strategic Business Plan.

· Understand and adhere to applicable company practices, policies, and procedures.

· Liaise with professional advisors including bankers, auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, and other ad hoc advisors.

Educational Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· At least 10 years of related experience in controlling and finance within industrial/manufacturing companies, public accounting, or tax consultancy.

· Proficient knowledge of financial statements, consolidation, and ERP systems focused on manufacturing, acquired through education or work experience.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
