Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
As a business development analyst, you’ll help Cardless prepare and manage customer facing materials, BD pipeline and inform strategy for sourcing and courting new potential customers. You should enjoy getting into the weeds of complex business models, relationships, and deals! It’s critical to have a deep understanding and ability to construct financial models, memos and decks for customer facing presentations, and an ability to clearly communicate and articulate the Cardless difference.
You’ll work directly with the leadership team, helping to effectuate the overall brand development strategy and be responsible for the growth of our new partner funnel. This is a critical individual contributor role that will report to the President & Co-Founder and will require occasional travel (20%).
Key Responsibilities:
This role has an annual starting salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefits (see below). Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and specific work location.
You’ll work directly with the leadership team, helping to effectuate the overall brand development strategy and be responsible for the growth of our new partner funnel. This is a critical individual contributor role that will report to the President & Co-Founder and will require occasional travel (20%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Build models, decks and other materials that will go in front of C-suite counterparts
- Project management of all aspects of our business development cycle including managing the pipeline
- Identify ways to accelerate our BD cycle and process
- Work cross-functionally to prioritize partnership requests and needs
- Facilitate the conversion of brands to term sheet stage and beyond
- 5+ years relevant work experience in management consulting or investment banking
- Strong data and organizational skills
- An understanding of models, value propositions that underpin card programs and drive desired customer behavior, and an understanding of risk related trade offs to underwriting of consumer credit risk
- Existing connections to target organizations or some knowledge of brokering financial relationships from a startup or banking perspective
- Sales or BD experience in a startup environment is a plus
