We're looking for a business development associate to join our growth effort and find new business opportunities.
Help us shop for trends and cool new products that need marketing help. If you have great self-presentation and style; a sparkling attitude, ability to generate conversation with different types of people, enthusiasm for healthy living and wellness trends and would like to check out products before they hit the market, get in touch with us.
Trent & Company, Inc. is a full service marketing communications firm with offices in NYC and LA, a 3-decade track record of impactful results and a carefully-curated client list. We are looking to hire a business development manager join #TeamTrent.
Clients include start up, established and legacy brands in food & beverage; housewares, healthcare, consumer goods, tech, beauty, fitness, fashion, outdoors, design and more.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Find and develop new markets to improve sales
- Identify new lead generation sources
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Set up meetings or calls with prospective clients including targets/itineraries at trade events
- Attend internal meetings, conferences, industry and networking events as needed
Prepare, send and present the following as needed:
- Introductory emails
- Backgrounders/case studies
- Meeting confirmations and reminders
- New business proposals
- PR packages/budgets
- PR agreements
- Negotiations/explanations emails/calls
- Follow up emails /calls
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years experience in sales
• Must be very comfortable on the phone
• Ability to talk and network all day
• Skill in turning data into useful deliverables
• Be able to get attention and keep people engaged
• Strong writing skills
• Great self-presentation and style
• Willing to travel
• An interest in healthy living and wellness is a plus
• New York Tri-State area preferred
