About The Job

Emulate is currently seeking a passionate and motivated Business Development Executive who will represent Emulate through engagement with a range of users and potential customers of our Organs-on-Chips technology. As a Business Development Executive, you will be accountable for driving sales revenue within target accounts by cultivating relationships at the functional decision-making and scientific levels and develop plans for researchers to use our products and services.   • Identify customer needs through discovery and position the proper solutions to achieve their goals
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of customer business needs to properly position new product and service offerings

You Are RELENTLESS And Will

  • Create and follow a regional business plan that covers target accounts, existing products/services and new product introductions
  • Close new business, renew and upsell existing business, and generate and enable the close of business referrals through development and implementation of targeted account planning and sales strategies
  • Continuously build pipeline to achieve long term sustainable growth

You Are ACCOUNTABLE And Will

  • Achieve and exceed financial goals for the assigned region
  • Be the voice of customer feedback to internal teams for new product and application development and process improvements
  • Provide a consultative approach and articulate Emulate’s value proposition around select products and services
  • Accurately forecast expected business on a rolling quarterly basis
  • Quickly and effectively process inbound leads to qualify and convert into opportunities

You Are HUMAN And Will

  • Enhance the customer experience by maintaining a customer-centric approach to your work
  • Manage the overall relationship and communication with business accounts and end users to ensure integration of the Emulate offering into customer workflows for routine use
  • Broaden relationship reach horizontally within accounts

You Are ONE And Will

  • Work closely with other functions such as Commercial Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, and Applied BioSciences
  • Leverage fellow Sales team members’ strengths to drive the collective teams success
  • Work hand in hand with the geographic region Customer Success Team to develop strategic approaches to win customer business and ensure best product fit for optimal customer success

Desired Skills

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience
  • Bachelor’s; Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets selling into in Life Sciences, Government, Pharma & Academic accounts
  • Ability to manage matrixed customer environments from bench scientist to C Suite
  • Deep understanding of small and large molecule drug development process
  • Solid knowledge of primary cell and stem cell biology
  • Sound grasp on therapeutic areas that focus on neural diseases, cancer biology, and inflammation
