Business Development Executive
Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events team is seeking an individual with deep existing relationships in various verticals and extensive business development experience to help us strategically grow and expand our catering & special events company across the Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland region. The Business Development Executive should have a network that spans legal, hospitality, government, and other sectors, and can leverage these connections to drive growth and expansion.
The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in our organization, acting as the bridge between clients, upper management, executives, and stakeholders. This role involves customer-facing processes and initiatives, strategically contributing to the development of future business strategies, and collaborating closely with the Director of Catering & Events and the Managing Partner of Catering & Events. We are looking for someone who is passionate about business development, highly organized, a strong communicator, and dedicated to building client relationships that drive sales and food contracts across the Washington-DC Metropolitan area.
Salary range: $100K-$250K
WHAT OUR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE DOES:
- Leverage existing relationships or connections to generate sales opportunities for FFC&E.
- Actively develop and manage relationships with clients that result in an ongoing business relationship.
- Aggressively pursue building new business opportunities for the company portfolio through consistent outreach, networking, and introductions.
- Foster long-term client relationships through exceptional service and appropriate follow-up.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with FFC&E Team on continuing to develop and enhance strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- This is a unique opportunity with the potential to earn ongoing commissions through continuous client relationships and successful business development. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing you to balance work with other commitments.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE:
- Extensive network and deep relationships within the DMV area to include, but not limited to, government, legal, finance, political, hospitality and events management industries.
- Demonstrated capacity to build sales through business development, food contracts, and also close deals.
- Adaptable and capable of evolving in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for hospitality, client relationship management and business development.
- High-energy self-starter who is motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to think strategically and develop and implement effective business development strategies.
