Business Development is crucial to the success of our company. As a Business Development Manager you are an ambassador to clients, representing our brand in the best possible light. You will report to the Managing Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships. The Business Development Manager role does not require managing a team. You’re responsible for pursuing target accounts, qualifying leads, seeing the sale through to signature, and onboarding internal team. The key to the success in your role is building strong relationships with prospective clients and solving for their strategic needs with Adrenaline solutions. You will also be expected to follow sales process and procedures such as CRM updates, documenting prospect status, and communicating with internal teams.


With a collaborative mindset, this role will engage SME support through proper channels and foster a team selling approach. You will be the expert on the client to represent their needs internally, as well as an expert to the client on Adrenaline, representing our company interest. You’ll be adept at negotiations and find comfortable solutions on both sides. You set the vision for the client and knowledge share to the internal team. You may also be assigned key partnerships to develop lead generation and referrals. This role will be responsible for creating a frictionless experience for clients to engage and work with Adrenaline.


Accountabilities

  • Own the success of outbound activation set by the targeting strategy for new clients.
  • Executing the approach for reaching target accounts through various channels such as events, partner connections, client referrals, or marketing activities, collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Drive client engagement from lead generation to lead management, owning client relationship throughout the sales cycle.
  • Actively engage new and existing client relationships, strategize the best approach to target and enlist new leads from the event, and follow-up post event.
  • Connect preferred referral relationships and ensure the success of the mutual referrals, collaborating with the partnerships team to do so.
  • Successfully meet sales goals and objectives of assigned accounts, as set by the Managing Director of Business Development.


Responsibilities

  • Form relationships with prospective clients to cultivate leads and convert to sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and support personnel to develop the opportunity and define the initial client needs, tailored approach, presentation and proposal strategy.
  • Manage formation of proposals and contribute input about scoping and pricing. Lead negotiation or conflict resolution in pursuit of deal.
  • Support analysis of sales data to accelerate and replicate winning practices and learn from losses.
  • Maintain practical knowledge about defined markets, targets, industries, and all Adrenaline services.
  • Represent Adrenaline at events and client meetings across North America.
  • Update CRM on weekly (or daily) basis, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.


Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of sales or account management of professional or advisory services.
  • Consistent record of success in consultative and relationship-based sales.
  • Experience with Financial Services industry, retail, marketing, branding.
  • Adaptable to remote work with frequent travel, about 1-2 times per month.
  • Team player and collaborator who understands how to overcome obstacles to get work done.
  • Positive attitude detail oriented, self-starter, and able to bring up others around you.
  • Familiarity with CRM Microsoft Dynamics and Leadfeeder a plus.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
