Business Development Manager

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager has a key role in the Richemont organization in the Americas. The roles and responsibilities of this position are diverse, and as such, require a highly resourceful individual with strong leadership, self-motivation, and analytical skills. In this position, you will be responsible for successfully leading regional projects, conducting research, and creating reports to address economic issues related to the distribution of Maisons products in the region. You will also support Management in the preparation of reports, studies, analysis, presentations, and ad hoc tasks.

Research, Analysis, And Reports

  • Prepare and present reports to key stakeholders and Management (local market and macroeconomics trends, consumer behavior, market intelligence, etc.)
  • Analyze monthly sales data, and forecasting how economic factors may affect future sales
  • Align with regional stakeholders and Group stakeholders on content and format

Strategy

  • Serve as a key partner in the Richemont Americas business transformation, participating in the development and implementation of initiatives to evolve the organization’s operational processes and structure
  • Conduct needs assessments throughout the organization, as necessary, and propose plans for addressing priorities
  • Develop and implement business development plans and initiatives that enable Maisons to meet and exceed sales and marketing targets
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of processes and ways of working across all central functions, and recommend strategies for improvement
  • Develop reports, presentations, and strategic analysis, as needed, and to support recommendations for driving the business forward

Project Management

Lead and oversee key strategic projects and initiatives across the region, as follows:

  • Plan, implement, and manage key strategic projects across all regional Maisons, functions, and markets, in alignment with business objectives, and in collaboration with relevant teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment of objectives and decision making across all internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure all critical project related issues are addressed thoroughly, efficiently, and judiciously
  • Maintain and communicate project management plans, status updates, and proposed mitigation approaches and solutions when necessary

Qualifications

Required Experience and essential skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with bachelor’s degree in from a leading university
  • Strong quantitative skills: economic, accounting and statistics knowledge required
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments and all levels of management
  • Consultative mindset and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders across multiple corporate levels
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects
  • Ability to think critically to weigh the pros and cons of different solutions to a problem
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-culturally
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Travel

  • Richemont Americas includes US, CAN, MEX BRA.
  • This position is based in Midtown Manhattan. Some functional team members are based in Shelton, CT. The US distribution center, customer service center and client relationship center are in Dallas, TX. Periodic travel to and between these locations may be required.
