Business Performance Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance Game Experience: Utilize quantitative analysis to uncover insights into how our games are played, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth
• Support Design Decisions: Provide the game team with data-driven insights, ideas, and impact assessments to inform design decision
• Actionable Insights: Proactively deliver analyses across various aspects of game development, including game design, monetization strategies, and marketing initiative
• Optimize Business Performance: Apply analytics to refine our business strategies, from marketing campaigns to in-game events and offer
• Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with designers, engineers, and other team members to expand the use of data in improving our game

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a Product Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist or in a similar role within the gaming industry. Building retention and LTV curves are something you've done - and you know where to look in the data to find further insights.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in R, Python, and SQL, with a strong command of data analysis and statistical methods.
• Data Science Workflow: Expertise in the data science workflow, including applying statistical methods and understanding potential biases in data.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical audiences.
• Gaming Passion: A genuine passion for gaming, whether it's Candy Crush, Halo, or anything in between.
• Teamwork & Autonomy: Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvements.
• Advanced Skills: Advanced knowledge in statistics, data visualization, programming, or related fields.
• Modern Tools: Familiarity with modern data processing tools and cloud platforms - we use Redshift and Quicksight, among others.
• A/B Testing & Modeling: Experience with A/B testing, developing confidence intervals, predictive modeling, building data tools, and creating insightful visualizations.
