Role Summary:

The Business & Product Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in transforming the organization into a data-driven entity. This individual will analyze and interpret complex data to support the strategic development and continuous improvement of our products and business operations. With strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and technological expertise, the Data Analyst will drive data-driven decision-making, contributing significantly to the success and optimization of our products and business strategies.


What You'll Do:


Data Tool Management:

  • Oversee and manage all product and business data tools, including but not limited to, AWS Redshift, Tableau, and BigQuery.
  • Ensure the organization maintains a robust data dictionary, serving as the single source of truth for business and product data.

Data Management & Accuracy:

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data, maintaining high standards of data quality across the organization.
  • Regularly update and refine the data dictionary to reflect current data sources and structures.
  • Collaborate with data engineer to ensure the appropriate delivery and structure of data to downstream tools

Reporting & Insights:

  • Develop and refine data dashboards and reporting systems to provide real-time insights to the product and executive teams.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform product strategy, go-to-market plans, and user engagement initiatives.

Product Roadmap Support:

  • Assist in data analysis for new product features, ensuring they are supported by solid data insights and align with the overall product strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure data flows correctly between systems and that insights are actionable and reliable.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the management team to create dashboards, insights, and frameworks that enable more data-driven decisions across departments.
  • Bring a data-focused perspective to product discussions and strategy sessions, ensuring that decisions are backed by robust data analysis.

Innovation & Problem-Solving:

  • Innovate and solve complex data problems, generating actionable insights from diverse datasets.
  • Continuously seek improvements in data processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the organization’s data capabilities.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple data projects effectively, from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and aligned with business goals.
  • Document and maintain detailed records of data projects, processes, and outcomes for future reference and knowledge sharing.


Requirements:

  • 5 + years experience in a product data analyst, business analyst, or equivalent role.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Expert ability to structure and analyze qualitative and quantitative data using advanced analytical techniques.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data analytics tools and software (e.g., Segment, BigQuery, SQL, Python, R), with the ability to handle large datasets effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Innovative in solving complex problems and generating actionable insights from data.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in data and analysis, ensuring accuracy and relevancy of insights.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate complex data clearly and understandably to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Project Management: Capable of managing multiple data projects from concept to completion within designated timelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Works effectively across teams, bringing a data-focused perspective to product discussions and strategy sessions.
  • Proactivity: Anticipates needs and acts without direction, continuously seeking improvements to data processes and products.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adapts to new tools, technologies, and evolving business requirements.
  • Efficiency: Able to produce significant output with minimal supervision and wasted effort.
