Position Overview:

Are you a detail-oriented tech enthusiast? We’re seeking experienced Calibration Technicians for our Electrical Calibration, RF Calibration, Temperature/Humidity Calibration, and Physical/Dimensional Calibration departments. As a Calibration Technician at MQC, you'll ensure our clients' measurement instruments are always spot-on. Your role will be crucial in maintaining accuracy and reliability, requiring a keen eye, exceptional organizational skills, and top-notch communication abilities.

RF Calibration Technician:

  • Calibrate a variety of RF/Microwave equipment, including Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers, with RF capability up to 50GHz.
  • Ensure precision in RF measurement and test equipment.

Electrical Calibration Technician:

  • Calibrate electronic, test, diagnostic, and general-purpose instruments like Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Testers, Frequency Counters, and Power Supplies.
  • Guarantee accurate functioning of electrical equipment.

Temperature/Humidity Calibration Technician:

  • Calibrate Environmental Chambers, Ovens, Furnaces, thermometers, hygrometers, Thermocouples, RTDs, and more.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of temperature and humidity measurement equipment.

Physical/Dimensional Calibration Technician:

  • Calibrate tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Gauge blocks, Optical Comparators, Surface roughness testers, and Thread gauges.
  • Ensure precise calibration of physical and dimensional measurement equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate primary, secondary, and/or working calibration standards across respective disciplines.
  • Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipment.
  • Identify and correct measurement errors.
  • Prepare comprehensive calibration reports and certificates.
  • Communicate activities and challenges to upper management.
  • Perform other duties to support the calibration process.

All calibration is performed following NIST traceable standards. MQC is A2LA Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006, and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Calibration training required.
  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training strongly preferred.
  • Experience with precision measurement equipment.
  • Experience with ISO 17025 strongly preferred.
  • Local travel for on-site calibration may be required.
  • Strong attention to detail for error-free work.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines.
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Pay: $30-$75/hour DOE
