Capital Markets Analyst

We are looking for a full-time analyst for the Capital Markets Group at Samuel A. Ramirez & Company, Inc., a premier minority-owned investment bank with headquarters in New York City. The Capital Markets Group offers its Fortune 500 clients’ Corporate Finance & Capital Markets services including origination and underwriting of fixed-income (investment-grade and high-yield debt and asset-backed securities), hybrid and equity securities and strategic advisory services.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing and assisting the development and production of client presentations
• Assisting in the group’s preparation of research materials and analysis
• Provide analytical and quantitative support to senior colleagues
• Building and analyzing financial models
• Assisting in the execution of debt and equity transactions

Requirements:

• Curiosity in corporate finance and a sense of entrepreneurship
• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
• Evidence of strong analytical and technical skills
• Strong teamwork orientation and work ethic
• Exceptionally attentive to detail and highly organized
• Ability to work flexibly
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while delivering accurate and precise work

Preferences:

• Proficient in computer skills with a basic understanding of programming languages
• Basic knowledge of Bloomberg and other industry research database is a plus
• Familiarity with macroeconomics and statistics
