This job posting will be used to conduct ongoing recruitment and will remain open until position has been filled.

The purpose of this position is to support the day to day operation of the Legal Unit and Training Unit by fulfilling supervisory and executive duties assigned by Bureau Chief. This position will support and supervise business operations, staff and provide direct support to the Bureau Chief and Deputy Director.

To provide support and oversight to the caregivers criminal history screening program (CCHSP).

How does it get done?

Support and oversee, legal unit, training unit and administrative staff: Oversee on boarding of new employees and meet resource needs of all staff; act upon leave requests, review and approve time sheets, conduct performance evaluations; provide guidance and direction; and serve as back up for the training unit, legal unit and Bureau Chief.

Who are the customers?

The Line Manager II's customers include, Health Care Facilities, Hospital Caregivers, Medical Interns (Students) and licensed medical professionals and CCHSP staff.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be courteous, respectful, hard working, learn quickly, have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; organizational skills; communication skills; and will accurately and efficiently handle responsibilities and assignments to fulfill job related duties. The ideal candidate will support the bureau's operation through oversight and fulfillment of business functions and through direct support of staff and the Bureau Chief. Fulfill routine responsibilities without assignment or prompting, in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional level experience operating within limited parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions

Office setting, exposure to VDT, extensive personal computer, pick up 25lbs and phone usage.
