Our client, a rapidly expanding international fragrance developer, is seeking a skilled and experienced Chemist to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$55k – $65k Based on experience

Position Overview

The Chemist will be responsible for sample preparation, chromatographic analysis, experimental formulation development, inventory management, and ensuring laboratory safety. The Chemist must show proficiency in operating and maintaining the GC and/or GC-MS instruments.

Responsibilities Of The Chemist

  • Prepare and analyze samples using chromatographic methods.
  • Extract various fragranced products for analysis.
  • Maintain local and global logs for product analysis.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the lab manager.

Qualifications For The Chemist

  • At least 2 years of experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting GC and GC-MS instruments.
  • Experience in the fragrance or personal care industry is a plus.
  • Strong skills in communication, problem-solving, reasoning, and data interpretation.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
