Base pay range
$65,000.00/hr - $70,000.00/hr

We are currently seeking a talented Chemist to join our client's dynamic team at a reputable pharmaceutical company located in Lynwood, CA. Position Overview: The Chemist will perform analytical testing primarily on Raw Materials, as well as In-Process and Finished Products, following Standard Operating Procedures and accepted test methods. The role also involves participation in Test Method Development and Validation.

Position Overview: The Chemist will perform analytical testing primarily on Raw Materials, as well as In-Process and Finished Products, following Standard Operating Procedures and accepted test methods. The role also involves participation in Test Method Development and Validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis using modern analytical equipment such as HPLC, FTIR, UV, GC, ICP, and Wet Chemistry techniques (titration).
- Perform analytical testing to support production, including analysis of Raw Material, In-Process, Finished product, Stability samples, and investigational samples. Analyze and interpret test data and document results in a timely manner.
- Ensure thorough understanding and compliance with FDA cGMPs, cGLPs, USP, ICH, SOPs, Test Methods, and other recognized standards.
- Support the development and validation of analytical and chemical test methods.
- Assist in writing SOPs, test methods, study protocols, reports, and reviews.
- Provide training to lab analysts on analytical test methods, equipment usage, and documentation.
- Participate in lab housekeeping tasks, including glassware cleaning, waste disposal, and maintenance of retains.
- Communicate lab test data, perform data review, and report OOS/QR/OOT test results to the lab manager.
- Contribute to process improvements in the lab through the 5S program.
- Adhere to all safety, food safety, and pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
- Complete daily work assignments and projects within the laboratory on time, with flexibility to accommodate shift changes or additional hours as needed.
- BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory.
- Strong foundation in analytical techniques, with hands-on experience in sample preparation and operation of analytical equipment and software.
- Extensive experience with HPLC is required.
- Experience with GC, FTIR, UV Spec, ICP, and other analytical instrumentation is preferred.
- Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques.
- Experience with data analysis using MS Excel and proficiency with MS Word.
- Experience in testing raw materials, stability, in-process, and finished products.
- Demonstrate good laboratory practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible availability to meet job requirements.
