Description
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family, supports crucial diagnostic testing for disease management. Based in Scarborough, Maine, the Technical Manufacturing Chemist in our Infectious Disease Developed Markets unit focuses on producing materials for immunology-based chromatography and enzyme tests.
Responsibilities
Maintain production schedules and support operations.
Investigate areas for process improvement.
Implement new procedures with strict adherence to safety protocols.
Conduct in-process QC testing and ensure compliance with quality standards (GMP/GLP).
Develop and follow protocols for product enhancement.
Produce critical and non-critical bio reagents using SOPs.
Collaborate within a team to coordinate manufacturing efforts and manage raw material inventory.
Basic Qualifications | Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Pipetting
Spectrophotometry
HPLC
pH meters
Gel Electrophoresis
