Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Design Control Procedures: Follow established design control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Training and Supervision: Train, mentor, and supervise staff in the analytical chemistry and polymer chemistry labs.
  • Test Protocols and Reports: Develop, write, and conduct test protocols and reports to ensure product quality.
  • Chemical Analysis: Conduct comprehensive chemical analyses of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data to support research and development efforts.
  • Policy Development: Develop policies, procedures, and methods for the characterization of drug combination devices.
  • Regulatory Support: Review and interpret guidance documents to support regulatory submissions.
  • Testing Coordination: Coordinate and manage testing at external analytical laboratories.
  • Method Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of analytical test methods between different laboratories.
  • Travel: Domestic and international travel to vendors, laboratories, and other relevant locations as necessary.


Training Required:

  • Annual Quality System Training: Participate in annual quality system training to stay updated with the latest industry standards and practices.
  • Engineering Training Matrix: Engage in the engineering training matrix for product development and manufacturing.
  • Analytical Chemistry and Polymer Chemistry Procedures: Receive training in specialized analytical chemistry and polymer chemistry procedures to ensure high-quality outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • 1-5 years experience
  • Experience in analytical chemistry and polymer chemistry.
  • Proven ability to train and supervise laboratory staff.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality systems.
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
