South College invites applications for the position of adjunct or full time faculty member at the South College Atlanta campus in the area of General Chemistry (lecture and lab).
The Faculty Member will provide instruction for courses needed on a quarter by quarter appointment (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer). Sections are available in the day, evening, or on weekends. This could be a part time or full time position.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop appropriate academic lectures and learning experiences that allow all students to achieve course objectives.
- Ensure that all academic program requirements and forms of documentation are completed as required for each student and submitted per established deadlines
- Provide appropriate and timely feedback to students.
- Be reasonably accessible to students for questions and assistance.
- Appropriately manage all classroom activities.
- Submit accurate attendance/academic participation rosters as prescribed by the institution.
- Submit assignment grades and feedback in a timely manner.
Candidates must evidence the following:
- A minimum of an acceptable master’s or doctoral degree in the discipline, or an earned master’s or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester credit hours (or 27 graduate quarter credit hours) in the discipline [General Chemistry: degree or 18 graduate semester credit hours (or 27 graduate quarter credit hours) in Chemistry].
- Previous experience with a LMS (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
- Excellence in postsecondary teaching preferred.
